I live on Ruthven in Palo Alto. I work in East Palo Alto and when I am
driving a car to my job I use Middlefield to get to University in the
morning and University to Middlefield to Hawthorne to get home. Who in
their right mind would think adding more business and housing to that area
is good for the community? And dont even start to say that we need more
affordable housing because I am willing to bet that those living spaces
would not be affordable for the likes of folk who need it. Traffic is bad
enough now as it is. Construction would be a nightmare. There is no way to
ease the current traffic problem and adding more would be outrageous. And
is this serving the community or just a few individuals that had the
wherewithal to make the original purchase. Please come to your senses and
stop idiotic fiasco this from happening. Those buildings would be a heinous
scourge to the lovely neighborhood and the creek for heavens sake. And
what about the buildings that sit empty just a few blocks north.
Honestly, I sometimes wonder what the purpose of these big brains we have
if this is what weve come up with as a good idea.
