Subject: Re: 9.13.22 Aggressive dogs at willow oaks park on ravenswood school property
Hi owners of the park area,

This inaction is not acceptable. I was under the impression that the dog owners would get their own area fixed up and that was supposed to sort it out, but it seems like not only do they not care about it, but they flat out behave like little kids with no realization how scary a big dog and an angry and rude grown up can be.

What kind of example is this setting for our young ones? And why is it so hard to enforce the rules? Do we really have to get to the point where some dog owner either starts an altercation or their dog (heaven forbid) assaults a child and disfigure them for life before any real action is taken?

Should it really have to come down to bodily harm and lawsuits before anyone lifts a finger? I mean, this isnt a new story, this has apparently been going on for years, but we are seemingly ok bowing for the rabid dog owners rather than what actually is our communitys future, our kids.

Please do something before this becomes something that clearly could have been avoided.

Another concerned parent,
Henric

Hello all,

I wanted to inform you that every morning between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM there are several off leash dogs at Willow Oaks field part of Ravenswood school district property. Please let me and other parents of the school next to the field what you will be doing to solve this ongoing safety concern. When the owners have been ask politely to put their dogs on leash parents are met with middle fingers as shown in a previous photo, profanity and disrespect. Please help keep our children safe from irresponsible dog owners who are breaking city codes. Please respond to me and the others on this email chain with your proposed solution.

Best,
Jessica and other concerned parents near Willow Oaks Park
