Dear City Council and Kevin Chen,
Thank you to the council for taking the time to listen to people at Tuesday’s council meeting. Following up on that discussion, we are writing to ask that the council and Middle Ave Complete Street Commission take an in-person meeting specifically with residents of Middle Avenue, and not with the wider city/Allied Arts community, as the pilot is being designed. We feel that residents of this street are somewhat unique stakeholders in this project. While we share its broader goals, our perspective merits further consideration with some form of outreach that has, as of yet, not been done. We would really like to work with the Commission and City Council and be part of the pilot’s design so that its chances of success are maximized.
