Dear Council
If the City wishes to continue to spend public funds on celebrating holidays of religious origin, it would only be appropriate if it celebrate from all religions.
The mere changing of the name from "Christmas Tree Lighting” to "Holiday Tree Lighting” does change the nature of the ceremony.
Same with the Easter Egg Hunt.
If there is not enough funds to celebrate all each year, then the only fair thing would be to alternate the allocation of the funds such that each year a different holiday is celebrated.
