Hello Trustees of the Menlo Park City Council,
Most recently, weve had 3-4 accidents on Willow Road within a .4 mile area, a bike collision with a vehicle on the bridge that goes over the freeway on Van Buren, to name a few.
The latest is one of the poles was knockdown at the island on Willow/Nash that had one of the speed indicator signs.
Our family is grateful for the work you have done so far, paving the streets has helped keep the traffic noise down.
Speeding or gridlock are the 2 speeds on Willow Road.
Willow Road is connected to the freeway, there is no stopping anyone from using the road, and thats the reality.
But it can be made safer by making cars slow down and avoid accidents.
The only way you will see the traffic calm down is to have a physical hurdle to make people slow down.
* Speed indicator that includes the 25MPH speed limit sign on top of it
* Crosswalks with speed bumps at every intersection (Blackburn, Nash)
* We now have to consider the preschool on Willow near Middlefield and their safety
This is a city problem, not just a District 2 or 3 problem.
Thank you,
Alice Hom
