Dear council commissioners ,
I am resident on Willow Rd of vintage oak neighborhood. Please do not approve this N17’s project for 80 willow Rd without a completed Environment Impact Report, we these residents deserve a full, independent accounting of the risks to the creek, public safety, sewer system capability , and surrounding neighborhoods before any final vote — not after. We deserve transparency on the decision, please to hold a public hearing before any final decision is made. Please reject the developer’s October 27 deadline as a basis for rushing this decision. If the City’s original analysis holds up, please defend it !!!
We strongly oppose N17’s proposal for a multi-tower mini-city planned for 80 Willow Road, with three towers measuring a staggering 39,33, and 18 stories tall, the proposed development is wildly out of scale for Menlo Park, and is grossly misaligned with our state-approved housing plan that City leaders worked diligently to pass. It is totally inappropriate for our communities and would have significant , detrimental impacts on Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Atherton and East Palo Alto. Currently we have suffered the traffic issues on Willow Rd and Middlefield Rd, can’t imagine how the traffic and car parkings issues would be if those giant towers will be built and in use. We would mention that A disproportionate amount of new construction in Menlo Park is currently planned for District 3, the SRI/Parkline development, the USGS development and 68 Willow Rd projects. The comblnation of these developments would bring unmanageable density to a small area of our community.
