Southside Downtown Parking Plazas are Next?

Council members:
STOP !
Abandon the Parking Plaza plans !
Why?
During the 5 +/- years of construction, the parking lots on the south side of Santa Cruz will be so overcrowded that those businesses will start to lose
customers, AND close.
That is why You Must Stop AND why I must vote "Yes".

Let the citizens vote to approve any
changes to their parking lots.

The lots are voter owned!
Not City Council owned!

Such a dramatic,
long lasting,
irreversible,
expensive,
unpopular, decision is for the taxpaying voters,
NOT 3 council member
Especially because you have NO real estate experience with this type of
complex negotiations.
No offense, but:
This is above your "pay-grade".

The Feasibility Report says
"NOT Financially Feasible"

Voting "YES on P" supports the downtown merchants and their employees.

Please:
Walk Downtown yourself and see that there are:
"YES on P" signs EVERYWHERE.

NOT even one "No on P"

135 businesses signed a petition opposing the Apartments on their
parking lots.

3,500 voters signed the YES on P ballot initiative petition.

The store owners are the ones who will suffer,
not the council,
not the developer,
not the housing advocates that dont even live in Menlo Park.

Support Ace Hardware, Amicis, Stacks, Cheeky Monkey etc.

Because IF you succeed, you set the stage for this:

In the next housing mandated cycle, the next city council will build on the South side parking lots.
Say Goodbye?
To :
Walgreens,
Penzey Spice,
Subway,
Starbucks etc

Stanford mall will take our businesses away, because:

Businesses REQUIRE
Convenient PARKING!

It is a well established
Real Estate Fact !

Thanks for reading this, Remember we are all want the same thing: A Better Downtown.
