Thank you for your September 29 decision

Dear Members of the Menlo Park City Council,
Thank you for your decision on September 29 to push back against Attorney
General Rob Bontas demand that the City approve the 80 Willow Road project.

I live in Linfield Oaks, very near the site of this proposed development.
We are very concerned about the many negative impacts this massive,
ill-conceived development would have on our neighborhood and the
surrounding area. As you know, this development threatens many severe
adverse impacts on traffic, neighborhood parking, the historical Sunset
Magazine site, the environmental status of San Francisco Creek, and even
blocks sunlight for solar panels!

Among the most disturbing aspects of this development are fact that it is
entirely out of character not only for its proposed neighborhood but for
any neighborhood between downtown San Francisco and downtown Los Angeles.
It will threaten property values and will in no way advance the goals of
California and Menlo Park to add housing and address the need for
affordable housing.

Please continue to stand up for Menlo Park, and also work with California
to find a resolution to its concerns. Please pursue ways to advance the the
new potential buyers purchase of the property as a face saving way to
address the current owners economic stake. Also, work with California to
resolve their buyers remedy issues in a way ultimately beneficial to our
entire City.
Thank you,
Diane Frankle
