Please enact a 25 mph speed limit on Santa Cruz Ave. between the "y" and Avy Ave. in Menlo Park.
I live here. I have almost been h it (in my car and on foot)a number of times by drivers going too fast and pulling around turning vehicles and parked cars. Why? Because they feel they can drive 40-50 mph on this stretch of roadway, even though it is a residential two lane street.
In addition, there should be sidewalks. It is harrowing to walk and have a speeding vehicle veer toward you, even cross the side white line before correcting. They were distracted by a phone or conversation, completely ignoring me walking my dog. If I were up on a sidewalk at least there is that small barrier of protection.
