Comments re: upcoming agenda items and other announcements (week of 11/13/22)

Dear members of the Menlo Park City Council,
I have looked over the 846 pages included with the attached email and I would respectfully suggest that multiple unbiased opinions be obtained to determine if the “All Electric/No Gas” rules should be temporarily waived so that the grid that supplies electricity can be updated to match the growth of Menlo Park’s development.

The present day unreliability and increased cost of wind and solar energy should also delay imposition of “All Electric” construction (for now).

Electric Heat, Hot Water, Car Charging are to be especially analyzed.

Transition to all electric, based on some expert opinions, requires infrastructure changes that take time, and until the grid is upgraded and adequate, AND the reliability and cost of solar and wind energy is acceptable:

The current “All Electric Rule” is not in the best interests of Menlo Park.

Thank you for considering my suggestion.
