To the City Council Members of Menlo Park:
I am writing to endorse Sally Cole for the open Menlo Park City Council seat in District 5. I am a 12-year resident of District 5, and I’m looking for a candidate who will help us both protect what we love about Menlo Park and advocate for change where we need it. I believe Sally Cole is that person.
I know Sally through Stanford and Menlo Park communities and I have found her to be passionate and thoughtful about the issues that I care about: affordable housing, housing density, our parks, downtown revitalization, and environmental stewardship. Sally has a JD/MBA from Stanford University and has worked in a strategic communications capacity for two well-known companies: Google and Apple. She has also served on a few MP commissions and is a board member of the National Environmental Education Foundation. Her experience with corporate communications, non-profit board governance, and local city affairs makes her an ideal candidate for city council.
Sally is genuinely excited about being on the Menlo Park City Council and brings a well-rounded, strategic approach to problem solving. She’s extremely collaborative and routinely seeks feedback and viewpoints from others which is so important in order to gain consensus with local community issues. She’d be a terrific council member and I am sure you would enjoy working with her.
