I’m writing to offer my enthusiastic support for Sally Cole to fill the open council seat representing District 5.
Sally and I met as coworkers and I am proud to call her a friend. I am confident that she will help find smart, creative solutions to the issues facing our city — most notably prioritizing sustainable economic growth that includes affordable housing and environmental responsibility. As a longtime resident of Santa Cruz Avenue, she understands how citywide decisions impact families and individuals.
I have always known Sally to be thoughtful, dedicated, and civic-minded. She cares deeply about improving the quality of life in Menlo Park. Through her work on the Heritage Tree task force and Complete Streets commission, she has already shown that she takes an equitable and inclusive approach to policymaking.
Sally values transparency in government, and — as anyone who knows her can tell you — she would be an approachable, empathetic listener to her constituents’ concerns. I wholeheartedly endorse her for this role.
