Cat Carlton is an extraordinary candidate to represent District 5, and I could not be happier to learn that she has applied to again serve on our city council. I strongly encourage the Council to choose her to fill the upcoming council vacancy that will be created by Ray’s upcoming departure, as her leadership, open-mindedness and many significant contributions to our city government are well-known and broadly respected by Menlo Park residents. She also brings a valuable “business mindset and perspective” that is essential but rarely present on the Menlo Park City Council.
