There are many reasons why creating a redesigned danger area for bike riders
usage on Middle Avenue is dangerous and ill-conceived. To begin with the blocks on Middle Ave. off of El Camino are owned by automobile activity most of the day. Mixing bike riders in that scenario is an accident or fatality waiting to happen.
Aside from the endangerment of the riders, there seems to be little compassion from the Powers That Be in the City Council regarding the life styles of the residents on this street. Many residents have lived here a long time. The homes and their sizes attract the older resident in their final years and their needs of visitors, care-givers, gardeners. helpers. family are constant and parking should be available to them. Some families who are younger and needing room for their childrens contacts, their childrens playmates, etc. should have a place to park to secure that bond. By terminating our right to use parking in front of our own home, is an invasion of ownership privilege.
I hope you will not destroy some of the wonderful; Neighborhood Culture that has made this city one of the best on the Peninsula.
