I am an allied arts resident and use Middle Ave daily with my family.
We have an opportunity to make this street welcoming for local families on bikes like mine, as well as kids going to o and from school, instead of drivers speeding down to get to Oak Knoll or cut through to El Camino from 280.
Option 1 is in line with our climate goals as well as vision zero. Its the right one for our community.
I also think its a great street to consider a closure for bikes only once a week or month, similar to Ciclavia in Los Angeles.
Lets continue our trend of climate leadership and not promote driving by offering bountiful parking instead of infrastructure for biking.
