I’m writing this letter in support of Tim Sheeper and his organization, Team Sheeper, as the contractor to manage the aquatics facilities and programs for the City of Menlo Park.
Our family began using the pools at Burgess Park in 1984: swimming lessons, recreational swimming, adult lap swim, birthday parties in the “baby pool”, and summer league swim team. We were so fortunate to have this wonderful community resource for our growing family, spending hundreds of hours in the water and on the deck.
When our oldest child made the leap to year-round swimming in the early ‘90s, Tim Sheeper was one of her first coaches. And now, as empty-nesters, we continue to use Burgess Pool; most recently in the Aquatic Physical Therapy class, twice each week.
Through the years, Tim Sheeper has been a superb community asset and influence. Team Sheeper provides a safe and clean facility at Burgess, a wide variety of programs are offered, and the staff on site are friendly and professional.
Please award the contract for management of the aquatics facilities and programs to Tim Sheeper and his organization, Team Sheeper. Let’s continue the high standards and success of our City aquatics resources.
