pool contract-support Team Sheeper programming PLS!!!

Dear City Council,
As a resident of Menlo Park since 1998, my family and I have come to depend on the high quality aquatics program offered by Menlo Park. We have used the Citys aquatic resources that include lifeguard training, baby-parent swim classes, summer and school break sports camps, childrens swim lessons and swim team, lap swim, and masters swim program.

In addition to these programs we have participated in and enjoyed, there are many other programs offered to the Menlo Park community that we have witnessed first hand, including water wellness and water exercise programs, as well as underwater hockey and water polo. Given the vast needs of pool space, the current management has done a superb job of staffing the pool and keeping it up and running (and doing it safely) so that our community can enjoy the spectrum of aquatic resources.

The current model of meeting the Citys vast needs, despite tremendous setbacks and challenges from COVID only attest to the professionalism and competency of the pools management. The growth of the aquatic program also highlights the success of the management to evolve and meet the expanding needs of the aquatic resources.

What is advantageous for our city and our residents is to continue supporting our aquatic program and continuing to build this resource, which includes recognizing the outstanding breadth of programs provided by the current management and the outstanding service that is being provided to our City.

I encourage you all to take the time and explore both the breadth of programs offered (https://menloswim.com/swimming/lap-swim/burgess-location/) and to reach out to community members to hear their accounts of how much they value this resource.

Thank you for your time,
Nancy Prouty
