Hello,
I wanted to express my perspective on how Burgess Pool has been run in recent years especially with COVID-19. As we know, that made things very difficult to run any business during that time. I was disappointed with the way things were rolled back out and have continued to be difficult to work with. My son used to have swim every week without fail unless we decided to change it. His coaches were not consistent though so that was frustrating to deal with. Since COVID, getting a lesson has been nearly impossible.
Im a working single parent and cant be at my computer at 12 on whatever day is chosen to beat out all these other people who are at their computers (or have people to do it for them). Due to this, we joined SOLO swim team and have never been happier. Im not stressed about getting online to find no spots for lessons left or figuring out what would even work for us.
The business model that Team Sheeper is following right now is bully-ish and elitist. I would hope with the opening of the new pool in Belle Haven as well, that a better system would be put in place to be equitable for all families and individuals wanting to be able to swim or have lessons.
