I was told that you’ll be discussing whether to retain the partial closure of Santa Cruz Avenue at tonight’s meeting, and would like to encourage you to keep it intact.
The partial closure creates space for local students to gather in a safe way, and it brings vitality to Menlo Park by enabling outdoor seating at restaurants. Both of these add to the community feeling of Menlo Park that so many of us value.
Also, as someone who frequently visits stores and restaurants on Santa Cruz, I can tell you that it’s not difficult to access them - even with the partial closure.
