Dear Council members,
While i am an Atherton resident, I do most of my shopping and restaurant going in Menlo Park. I probably run an errand in town Mon-Sat.
I have just learned that you are looking at the bump-out seating for several restaurants like Left Bank and Bistro Vida. Look at Wednesday evenings with the cute outdoor market thanks to Bistro Vida.
I sincerely hope you vote to keep the outdoor seating! Nothing is more welcoming in the evening than the sweet lights and seeing the diners outdoors.
With Springline in the stages of opening several restaurants you should NOT do anything to lose the downtown regulars. The rug stores and body builder stores are BORING and do nothing to build a sense of community and belonging. Just look at Broadway in RWC - always bustling.
Support Menlo Park downtown.
