The addition of outdoor dining on Santa Cruz Ave. has been a great success. First started by the City when Covid had all but shut down commerce on Santa Cruz Ave., restaurants were allowed to move into the street so diners could enjoy them in relative safety. Many of us still appreciate our outdoor dining not only as a safer option but as a very enjoyable experience. To dine outdoors listening to live music, or seeing our friends and neighbors strolling through downtown is a community-building experience that would be lost if we lose our wonderful outdoor dining options.
Soon the weather will be warmer and the street eateries will be filled with people. Please allow outdoor dining to continue to thrive and delight residents and guests of all ages.
