Hello,
I am writing to request that the new owners of the buildings on the corner of El Camino Real and Cambridge be held accountable to the city and nearby residents for the upkeep and development of their land and structures. These buildings have been neglected for many years with the only “development” being the improper and rushed removal of healthy heritage redwood trees during the height of the pandemic. Since then there have been people living out of the Heartcore studio and there is a constant accumulation of trash and human excrement all around the building and in the parking lot. There are several homeless individuals that loiter and frequent the areas around the building as well.
I am requesting that the extension of the building permit be somehow contingent on the owners being accessible in the event of an emergency-fire, flooding, death and that that they actually clean up and maintain their property in a safe and sanitary condition.
Thank you,
Mayra Cramer
