To the Honorable Mayor and Menlo Park City Council members,
I want to express my support for the proposed restaurant project at 961 El Camino Real, adjacent to the Guild theater, and encourage you to move the project forward with all due speed.
Menlo Park needs more venues like this, to help revitalize our lovely but frankly uninspiring downtown area. As a resident of downtown myself, I’m delighted about the success of the Guild, and I would welcome the additional diversity and liveliness that the Clock Works project will bring to the table. Let’s build our city’s future together with local businesses that add variety and tell a unique story, so we can make Menlo Park a place with energy and life and unique value. Palo Alto did it, Redwood City did it, and it’s high time Menlo Park does too.
