Dear City Council,
Im a long time resident of Menlo Park. My wife and I are both attorneys. We have a child thats graduated from MA, one at MA, and two in the Los Lomitas School District. My wife is the co-president of LLEF. We are committed to Menlo Park and all it has to offer. I want to tell you that, as a resident of Menlo Park and someone who loves living here, we need more places like the Guild Theater and the proposed Clockwork restaurant. We are so fortunate to have a venue like the Guild in our city. Its truly a treasure. The lack of good places to go has always been a valid criticism of Menlo Park. Having another venue to meet up with friends will only enhance Menlo Park. A vibrant restaurant and bar scene is what makes towns/cities special, places that people want to live in and that people want to visit. Its also what attracts businesses to locate in a city. I sincerely hope that you vote in favor of Clockwork opening. It would be a shame to miss this opportunity to improve our city. Thank you for your consideration.
