Dear City Council Members,
I am writing to express our opposition to the proposed nightclub on El Camino Real adjacent to The Guild Theatre. Personally, it makes no sense to us and weve lived all over the world. Big urban cities like LA, Tokyo, and Paris have night clubs and bars that stay open until 2 AM but small suburban towns with residential neighborhoods? What about the sound ordinance? What about drunk driving and all the schools and children we have here in town? This has nothing to do with our goal to make Menlo Park more "vibrant" because it only appeals to a small sector of the population. There are many, many other ways we can update and improve our town without all the alcohol, loud music, and behavior this venue will attract. Please vote NO on this proposal.
