Hi Entire Menlo Park City Council,
I am curious to know if Menlo Park city council is educated on the on going genocide Black Americans face. I emailed about reparations and heard nothing from the city council.
Did you know Black American enslaved women would have their babies snatched from them then used as gator bait? Since I haven’t heard back, please sit in that complicity.
Did you know they had breeding farms where they would make Black American sons and fathers have sex with their Moms and daughters? Did you know they would put bags over their head so they wouldn’t know who they were forced to have sex with?
Since I haven’t heard back from anyone on city council I’m assuming you’re all proud and complicit in that history as well.
Slavery and racism is The United States original sin. Each day, you as an elected official stay quiet you publicly endorse this history. Without passing any form of reparations you take the place of that person who commuted those crimes against humanity. You take the place of the person feeding a Black baby to Gators as bait. Nothing has awoke inside of you or inspired you to do what’s right. Do not act like you have any moral compass because you don’t act to make this right. Please understand we see you for who you. Have any of you, in particular the non Black Women on the council read the book, “They were her property”, of course you haven’t. No Reparations No Vote.
