Honorable Council Members,
As a longtime tennis player actively involved in local tennis I can assure you that pickle ball is not the only growing sport. Locally we have seen a steady increase in tennis enthusiasm, both during and since the pandemic, particularly notable on public courts. Some of us also play pickle ball, and the conflict of “repurposing” tennis courts in parts of Palo Alto and Mountain View has been awkward at best, often bitter. This is not a solution to two popular sports.
Please focus on designating underused park land for new pickle ball courts. Lets keep all our residents active, healthy - and friendly.
