Please reopen the 600 block of Santa Cruz Ave. Since it closure it has been an unmitigated disaster. It creates a dangerous intersection. I have been almost hit on multiple occasions. It also has been the cause of much loitering and filth as people do not clean up after themselves. As for my business on the next block I have seen customers have a hard time finding parking because of the spots that were taken for the closure. I have been past the "farmers market" that pops up on Wednesday. It is always empty and I have had venders begging me to buy something. That is not a pleasant feeling. I have had customers tell me that they wont come back because it is too hard to get around downtown. The super majority of businesses want the road opened back up. The fire department wants it opened back up. The residents want it opened back up. Please open it back up.
