Good evening Council Members,
Im writing to request the support of the Council to expedite and do whatever possible to approve an agreement/memorandum of understanding for the landscaping of the Willow-U.S. 101 Interchange. The community of Belle Haven has been impacted the greatest by the continuation of the cutting down of our trees for the last 10 years. We have endured the blight of 20ft high piles of dirt and weeds due to the cutting of 60ft Redwood trees by Caltrans. What can you do to expedite asap the replanting of the over 50 trees that were over 60 years old. When will the City stop allowing our community air to continue to be poisoned by the increase in pollution and the cutting down of our trees?
When will we be a priority ? Replace the sound wall and expedite the removal of the piles of dirt at 101 and replant the largest trees possible. Please do not tear down the trees on Willow Rd between Hamilton and OBrian. STOP KILLING OUR COMMUNITY !! We should not have to wait any longer to get this landscaping completed..We have already waited 3 years !
