Hello Councilmembers,
I have been fortunate to own a home in Menlo Park for 37 years. I realize the need for truly affordable housing in Menlo Park west of highway 101 and I think building housing on 1-2 city-owned parking lots is a good idea, especially built with solar panels on the top and sufficient underground parking for both the residents of the buildings as well as free parking for shoppers, BUT NOT HIGHER THAN FOUR STORIES. We need light, air, views of the hills etc. Also, I think the large parking lot in Burgess Park would be a good place for such a building but, again, not over 4 stories.
Thank you,
Alice
