I have heard that you are going to use artificial grass as the ground cover for the new dog park. There are plenty of enviromental articles that explain why this is a bad choice to make. It is my understanding that “best practices” calls for crushed granite in dog parks, and certainly not artificial grass. I hope someone on our council can get back to me about the decisions concerning this issue.
We have long needed a re-do of this dog park. We dog owners are all hoping for benches, water for humans and dogs, some shade, and a little more space, as much as an environmentally sound ground cover.
