Final Invitation | County In Action Southern Tour – October 30

Dear Colleagues,
I would like to extend a final invitation to join me for our County in Action Southern Tour on Friday, October 30. A limited number of seats remain, and I hope youll consider joining us!
County in Action offers leaders across San Mateo County an inside look at County programs, facilities, resources, and investments serving residents across our communities.
Through facility tours, site visits, and conversations with County leaders and subject matter experts, well go behind the scenes to see County services in action and learn more about our work across housing and homelessness, health and behavioral health, safety-net and family services, parks, and other regional investments.
Each city/town is invited to designate its City Manager or Assistant City Manager and two Councilmembers per tour, and each invited school district may designate up to two Board Trustees per tour.
Friday, October 30 | 8:00 AM–1:30 PM
Breakfast, lunch, and transportation will be provided.
Online registration is now closed. If you would like to attend, please reply directly to Angela Hodges at asilva2@smcgov.org (also ccd in this email) to request a seat. Remaining seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
I hope youll join us for this opportunity to see firsthand how County services support our communities and to continue strengthening the partnerships between our cities, school districts, and County.
Best regards,

Mike Callagy (he/him)*

*Here is why I include my pronouns: It’s important to get pronouns correct to support belonging and respect in the workplace for everyone, inclusive of our LGBTQ+ communities. Pronouns are words used to refer to people and are often gendered (such as, she/her and he/him versus they/them). We cannot assume we can tell the correct pronoun for a person. As an ally, an easy way to normalize the use of self-identified pronouns is to include them in your email signature and share them when introducing yourself in meetings. When we normalize the inclusion of pronouns, it will be more affirming for transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse people to share theirs. Will you join me, in solidarity, to include your pronouns in your email signature? For more details on pronouns and how you can be in solidarity with gender diverse and transgender individuals visit: https://www.mypronouns.org/
