development of affordable housing on City-owned downtown parking lots

In an attempt at civility, Ill simply say I am amazed at the plan to use downtown parking lots for very high-density housing for very low-income residents. It could be called the "plan to kill downtown Menlo Park". Im a longtime resident, not a business owner, but its obvious that businesses will suffer, and many in the area will no longer consider dining at Camper, Carpaccio or Mademoiselle Collette or shopping at several of the shops - if they can find a place to park.

I suggest the City consider other parking lots, owned by the City, that would be far less disruptive to the community and local businesses:
- City library
- City Hall/Administrative offices
- Police Department
- Burgess Parik

Please tell me you will attempt to find better solutions. I hope there is at least someone on the Council who cares.
