I am a tenant at 3705 Haven, which is still an active commercial address with about 20 businesses in it, even though a residential building project here seems imminent and the building will soon be demolished.
I’m assuming the building owner doesn’t want to put money into a building that is soon to be demolished, but the building is becoming untenable with its lack of upkeep and piles of trash in the halls, closets, and blowing trash in the parking lot.
The building only has one regular size trash bin (plastic bin the same size as a single family home) to serve a building with about 20 commercial tenants. Since there isn’t enough room to throw away trash it ends up piling up in hallways and being put in storage closets causing a fire/safety/health issue, and there is consistently just blowing trash in our parking lot which is right next to the protected waterfront of Bedwell Park and ends up blowing right into the park and drainage ditch.
I’ve attached a few photos. I’m choosing to report this anonymously so I won’t be a target of the building owner or property manager, but as long as this building has leaseholders there needs to be a bare minimum of health and safety standards and conditions that aren’t a vector for pests and disease.
