Dear Meta Oversight Board,
It is obvious that you are a Racist organization that supports terrorism and are anti American since Israel is our ally but Hamas is a confirmed terrorist organization by the United States and many other nations and will be viewed by many Americans as treason. And you know that at least 90% of the people who live in Gaza and Judea and Samaria, aka the West Bank, all support Hamas and the complete elimination of Israel because the majority of it’s citizens are Jewish and so they can steal the indigenous land of the Jews as they have been trying to do since they refused the land offered to them and the Jews by the previous invaders, the British Commonwealth, but the Arabs living there refused to share it and live next to Jews so they started 6 wars instead, losing each one. They are very racist people. The Jews were very willing to share and have only wanted to live in peace with all their Arab neighbors but the Arabs refused. The Jews have been in the land of Israel for almost 4,000 years with archeological proof. Islam was invented about 1300 years ago. Israel only belongs to the Jews, it is their ancestral homeland.
Israel is the only country in the world forced to have bomb shelters in every home, school, hospital, places of Worship and businesses because these terrorists fire rockets and missiles at them daily, as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, all in conjunction with the major terrorist country of Iran, are continuing to do right now, they have killed many Israelis that the media does not even report about and injured many others all over Israel. Do you think Israelis should just say, “Go ahead and kill us while we watch you rape our women and children, behead and burn alive our citizens and our babies, even our dogs because there are City Council members in America who believe we don’t have a right to exist.”? Don’t forget that Israel is not at war with Hezbollah or Iran at this time but Hezbollah and Iran wants war with Israel.
Since you support the barbaric Racist Hamas Palestinian Terrorists and their cult followers who openly call for the death of all Jews and the eliminating of Israel, I will remind you of some of the atrocious acts the Racist Hamas Palestinian terrorist group committed on Oct.7, 2023 against over 1200 innocent Israelis and innocent people from 42 nationalities including America. The Hamas terrorists threaten Israel that they will do it again and again so you can see what the Jews and Israelis are up against:
They gang raped mothers and children, little girls and boys in front of their families and then mutilated and slaughtered all of them; they burned whole families alive including children, old people and babies (some of the babies were put in ovens and the families were forced to listen while their baby was screaming in horror and agony while burning to death); they beheaded anyone they wanted to for their own enjoyment and profit because they sold the heads to sick Palestinians; they even killed their dogs and animals; they kidnapped over 236 babies, children, men, women and old people of many nationalities not just Israelis and they still keep over 120 hostages including the babies and torture them continuously for over 9 months; they gang raped and mutilated a very young woman and paraded her bloodied naked and dead body in Gaza as a trophy in front of thousands upon thousands of Palestinian men, women and children who were cheering and celebrating and filming it all on their hundreds of smartphones. 300 days after her torturous death the IDF found her body rotting in one of the Hamas terror tunnels so at least now she is properly buried with respect and her grieving parents and family can mourn the brutal death of their daughter at her grave.
The barbarians also filmed themselves committing all their vile acts on their GoPros because they were and are so proud of them. Even though there is tons of films and proof, we don’t need it because they don’t deny it. They are going to declare Oct 7th as their holiday and celebrate the massacre year after year.
These are the monsters who are asking you to give up support for Israel and for you to join the side of evil with them. This has always been a war of good against evil that Racist Hamas Palestinian terrorists began and refuse to end, it has nothing to do with land, only hatred of a people due to their religion. Also their desire to take over the world, why are only Radical Islamist Jihadists allowed to kill all groups of people from other religions, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Druze, etc. and get away with it, calling for more and more deaths and some of our politicians here in America and Meta support them?? Why??
Anyone who makes even the slightest excuse for the vile acts these barbarians committed or supports them is as evil as the perpetrators!
These Racist Barbaric Hamas Palestinian Terrorists just murdered 6 innocent hostages in cold blood, including an American citizen, rather than return them alive for a ceasefire or any peaceful agreement! Supporting these murderers in any way would make you complicit in all their terrorist activities.
There are many people here in America who do support it and want to kill all Jews and destroy America and our freedoms here that many soldiers gave up their lives for, including my father who was a US Marine and fought in Japan in WW ll against Nazism.
These radical Islamists follow Hitler’s playbook many of which were found in hundreds of Gaza homes and in their Hamas terror tunnels. The Nazis killed 12 million people including 6 million Jews while the Western democracies did nothing until they were threatened. Remember the Nazi’s main goal was not to just kill all Jews, disabled people, Gypsies, gays and Non Aryans, it was World Domination just what these new Nazi radical Islamists say is their ultimate goal, they say it in all their speeches, you just have to listen.
Thankfully a very large majority of Americans here do not support terrorists nor the reemergence of these new Nazis, the Radical Islamists. It is time to stop scapegoating Jews! There are still many good, righteous, normal and humane people in America, I hope your Meta owners are among them and stop supporting Racist terrorists because I know you aren’t stupid, you KNOW what From the River to the sea means since Hamas and their cult followers don’t deny or hide it, the death of all Jews and Israel.
Please read the following paragraphs as well, they explain the same things only more politely, I don’t feel very polite to people who support and allow on their platform to call for my death and the deaths of my whole family!
We are writing to express our outrage and deep condemnation of your decision to allow the phrase “From the river to the sea” to remain on Meta’s platforms. This is not a matter of free speech; it is a call for genocide—a rallying cry for the destruction of Israel and the eradication of the Jewish people from their homeland. Allowing this vile, antisemitic slogan to circulate is not only morally indefensible, it is legally reckless and utterly irresponsible.
By permitting this phrase to remain on Facebook and Instagram, Meta is actively fueling genocidal rhetoric that has already led to violence against Jews worldwide. In the wake of the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel, the use of this slogan has surged, and its intent is unmistakable. This phrase calls for the destruction of Israel from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, advocating for nothing less than the complete annihilation of the Jewish state. Meta’s inaction gives a green light to this campaign of hatred and violence directly targeting Jews.
It’s important to note that Meta has, in fact, banned other hateful slogans such as:
-"All Lives Matter": While not inherently a hate slogan, this phrase has been flagged for promoting a dismissive or antagonistic stance toward racial justice movements, particularly when used in response to “Black Lives Matter.”
-"Death to [Group]": Variations of this phrase, such as "Death to Jews," "Death to Muslims," or "Death to America," are explicitly banned for inciting violence or hatred. Meta considers these slogans as promoting violence, genocide, or harm toward specific ethnic, religious, or national groups.
The fact that Meta has banned such slogans demonstrates a shocking double standard when it comes to dehumanizing Jews. If Meta can remove these slogans due to their harmful impact, it is imperative that the same standard be applied to "From the river to the sea," which directly incites violence against Jews.
As a matter of moral equivalency, this phrase must be banned just like the others. Even universities and organizations have banned the use of this phrase in specific contexts, recognizing it as hate speech. In Germany, a stricter stance against antisemitism has led to the restriction of pro-Palestinian slogans, including "From the river to the sea," when used in a context that incites violence or hatred.
Meta’s Oversight Board, which should ensure responsible content decisions, is compromised by clear bias. One of the most vocal board members, Tawakkol Karman, has referred to Israel as a "terrorist government" and accused the country of "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing." She has openly celebrated the United Nations’ decision to place Israel’s military on a "list of shame," alongside Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Such virulent, one-sided views render her incapable of making fair or impartial decisions regarding content related to Israel.
Another board member, Nighat Dad, has consistently condemned Israel, describing Gaza as "the world’s open-air jail," and glorified those "martyred" by Israeli strikes. Her biased posts in support of pro-Palestinian protests clearly demonstrate a lack of neutrality. How can anyone trust her to moderate content fairly when she has already publicly aligned herself against Israel?
Moreover, Alan Rusbridger, another Oversight Board member, attempted to justify Hamas’s terror attacks on October 7 by suggesting they did not occur in a vacuum. Such statements, which deflect responsibility from terrorists, underscore the deep-seated bias within Meta’s Oversight Board. These individuals are incapable of making unbiased rulings on content involving Israel.
Meta’s decision to allow the phrase "From the river to the sea" to remain on its platforms is not just a mistake; it is a dangerous endorsement of antisemitism. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the world’s leading anti-hate organization, has explicitly stated that this slogan is antisemitic. It is a direct call for the elimination of the Jewish state, enshrined in the charter of Hamas, a terrorist organization dedicated to Israel’s destruction. According to a study by the University of Chicago’s Project on Security and Threats, 66% of Jewish students understand this chant as advocating the expulsion and genocide of Israeli Jews. This slogan is not harmless; it is a direct threat to Jews everywhere.
The board’s lack of transparency, its clear bias, and its decision to overlook the violent implications of this slogan raise serious questions about its credibility and integrity. Meta would never allow such a slogan targeting any other protected group. Would you tolerate a call for genocide against African Americans, Native Americans, or Palestinians? Absolutely not. By allowing this slogan against Jews, Meta is endorsing blatant antisemitism.
Meta must act immediately. The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide explicitly prohibits incitement to genocide, and Meta’s failure to ban this phrase puts the company at risk of violating not only international law but also U.S. federal anti-terrorism laws. By continuing to allow this slogan, Meta is complicit in promoting violence and hatred against Jews.
We demand that you immediately ban the slogan "From the river to the sea" and all other content that incites violence against Jews. Every moment of inaction on your part further enables the spread of antisemitism and implicates Meta in perpetuating this hate.
The time for deliberation is over. Meta must act now—before more harm is done. You have a moral obligation to prevent the incitement of violence, death, and genocide toward Jews. This is a serious responsibility.
From,
Bonnie and Abe Sigman
