Incidentally, the annual Peace Day is always on September 21st, endorsed by the United Nations and supported by nations around the world. Dear SCI Members and Friends,
We are excited to announce the dedication of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial, honoring the 34th President of the United States and Founder of Sister Cities International!
The Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial was designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry in a four-acre urban park at the base of Capitol Hill. This memorial has several statues and sculptures commemorating President Eisenhower and showing the trajectory of his life.
There are several online events open to the public to celebrate the opening of the memorial which can be found on the Eisenhower Memorial website. Following are some events that will be broadcast live:
