Hi Menlo Park City Council!
I am a longtime local, and seeing the news today that a police officer in Louisville was not charged for the murder of Breonna Taylor who was unarmed got me thinking about the Black Lives Matter movement locally. What kind of specific practices and policies is the City Council putting into place to protect and defend Black lives? I think that anti-racism training and policies are essential to ending the racial violence against Black people, and would love to know how the City of Menlo Park plans to take an active role in protecting Black lives. Looking forward to hearing back from you!
