Good Evening, while driving from my downtown office I noticed on Saturday and again today Oct. 5th that the westbound concrete barriers are still there, contrary to Council directive to have them removed by Oct. 1st.
Please advise Public Works to facilitate asap as non restaurant businesses in downtown are suffering from a lack of followthrough, and you can expect more vacancies as downtown businesses that depend on drop in customers from driveby views of their Santa Cruz display windows will close up forever, blaming Council's lack of timely leadership to their unnecessary demise.
