Dear Council Members,
I am writing to request that the City Council please add Olive Street to the list of streets for speed reductions from 30mph to 25mph. My young nephew fractured his collar bone while riding his bike down Olive Street on his way to school in an accident with a car. Olive Street from Middle to Santa Cruz is a major thoroughfare for kids going to Hillview (and other local schools), and we need to do what’s right for the safety of our children. PLEASE proactively reduce the speed limit on Olive Street from 30mph to 25mph before there is a more severe accident than what happened to my nephew.
