To whom it may concern
I am the owner of Traditionally Derby located at 850 Santa Cruz Ave. We are located between Crane and University Ave and have been significantly impacted by the street closure.
Our retail space is open by appointment only right now. We are heavily reliant on people driving or walking by our storefront to make appointments with our interior designers on staff. As you can probably assume, our business volume is down significantly due to COVID-19 and we want to do everything we can to make a sale. Since the street closure we have seen a drop in inquiries to make in-store appointments and our regular clients have complained about the closure and the detour they are required to take right now. We appreciate the city's effort to try something new but, unfortunately, it has hurt our business. While I understand that the closure was intended to help the restaurant industry it has reduced our flow which we rely on!!!
In addition, we accept deliveries through our front door and right now are having a very hard time accepting deliveries.
Can you please consider opening Santa Cruz Ave up again for through traffic. As a small business we would appreciate your efforts to help us!
Sincerely,
Eileen Bocci Campbell
