Dear Council Members,
First, thank you for your service in these difficult times.
One of those difficulties, making itself apparent every more clearly as the months of this pandemic continue, is there is no returning to the policies of pre-Covid times in many aspects of our city's policies. Another major change has been the acceptance of working from home, far broader than anyone expected. We can see this daily by the absence of cars parked along Alma Street that used to line the west side almost all the way from Willow Road to East End Ave. by the creek.
With that in mind, I urge you to send a message to our legislators to put on hold - or more correctly, "Pass a Wait Resolution" on new housing bills. That would allow time to consider new possibilities for low income housing that did not exist before Covid. Please act on this at your first convenience.
Thank you.
