The proposal to make Coleman one way or closed at the county line are unacceptable. These ideas send traffic to other streets and into other neighborhoods where there are kids, commuters, bikers as well, making those areas more dangerous.
The intersection of Bay Road and Ringwood has heavy traffic now and is unsafe.
Diverting traffic here is a good idea?
The pedestrian bridge across 101 connects to Ringwood Ave. Kids going to MA and the Tide Academy must navigate the intersection of Bay and Ringwood.
Kids going to laurel and Hillview middle school and those waiting for the bus at Fredrick and Ringwood must cross Bay road somewhere.
There are other options for Coleman Avenue that do not include one way, closing of no right turn at Willow and Coleman.
Cars are not allowed to park on the street between 2 am and 5 am. Enforce it. Remove parking on one side of the street, add a stop sign at Santa Monica and Coleman, do not allow delivery trucks to park on the street, add speed bumps.
Those individuals using Coleman do not live here. Don’t make life more difficult and more dangerous for those of us who need to get places too.
