Hello city council!
My car ride home was severely delayed by a matter of 30 minutes by a rather large series of construction starting north bound on the 101 around the Willow Road exit through Seaport Blvd in Redwood City. We were looking to access the Marsh road exit and were surprised when our exit was closed and the following exit was closed as well.
At the bare minimum, future road work should ALWAYS notify the drivers that they will incur an additional 10 miles of driving if they miss the exit preceding road work of this scale. Not doing so is a massive waste of everyones time and and resources as this is a non-trivial amount of fuel waste when you account for the numerous vehicles in the same situation.
I hope future construction teams will be conscientious in ensuring road signage is present informing drivers that they will need to exit early in order to not experience gross delays.
Wishing you all the best,
Greg
