Dear Menlo Park City Council,
I wanted to write to express my support for the County one-way pilot on Coleman Ave. I cycle down Coleman as part of my commute to work, and Im alarmed at how dangerous the current situation is. Parents walking young children within inches of cars, and poor cyclists caught in between with nowhere to go. Its truly dangerous, and Im hopeful and eager to see the City and county work together to turn this corridor, crucial to so many cyclists and pedestrians, into a model of innovation. I deeply support the one-way option, as it will provide ample space for pedestrians and cyclists, while also calming automobile traffic significantly. We should all look forward to Coleman Ave becoming a peaceful, bucolic, shangrila of modern transit craft.
