Dear Menlo Park City Council
My wife Patty and I are longtime residents of Felton Gables and truly love Menlo Park. One of the very special and wonderful things about the town is the fact that it has a wonderful family run, high class and high quality full service grocery store like Draeger's in its convenient downtown location. We understand there is a vote on October 23rd about whether to approve one of the 5 alternative loading sites it has proposed that are all compatible with the proposed property development at 840 Menlo Avenue. We are pleading with and strong request that the council approves one of these suggested sites and does not disadvantage this wonderful family landmark Menlo Park needed grocery business.
With the absolutely HUGE real estate projects under construction on El Camino now, it seems that developers have gotten their way and the expense, in terms of horrific traffic growth in the city, for quite a while now. We hope you agree it would be a good time in this case to vote to not disadvantage such a venerable Menlo Park iconic business for the convenience or yet another property developer.
