Honorable Mayor Ohtaki and Members of the City Council,
Please approve a street-based public loading zone adjacent to Draeger’s Market in downtown Menlo Park. Maintaining a public
loading zone is critical for the daily operations of Draeger’s Market and the many other businesses operating in that part of our
downtown business district.
Draeger’s Market is a critical retail anchor for Menlo Park’s downtown and they support a thriving business district by bringing
shoppers downtown who also frequent surrounding businesses. Menlo Park should support our locally-owned and family businesses
because that’s what makes our downtown special and adds to the quality of life in Menlo Park.
Again, as a Menlo Park resident, I urge you to approve a street-based public loading zone for the use of Draeger’s Market and all
the businesses in that area of downtown.
