Dear City Council,
Please explore alternative locations to avoid further straining the already crowded parking lots in downtown Menlo Park. Parking is already a significant challenge, particularly for customers with disabilities. These lots were intended to support the downtown office, retail, and restaurant district, and repurposing them undermines local businesses. This could lead to closures, making it difficult for landlords to attract new tenants. Additionally, adding 483 new units will worsen traffic congestion, making access to downtown even more challenging.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
