Dear Menlo Park City Council,
Jamming multi-level apartment buildings into an already struggling downtown with current
parking problems, vacant retail and no real plan for making it better, will be the nail in the coffin
for downtown MP. 483 new housing units is a ridiculous idea and will completely put a halt to
anyone coming near town. The few retailers and restaurants that we actually have will end up leaving.
Removing 556 parking spaces in 3 lots, to add 483 residential units makes absolutely NO SENSE
at all.
Please reconsider this idea, and if you must at least allow the residents and those who work in
Menlo Park actually weigh in on this ill conceived idea.
