Council,
As a long time resident of Menlo Park and someone who is disheartened by the state of downtown Menlo Park, I would urge you to slow down and rethink turning parking lots that serve Laurel Street retailers into housing.
Many residents do not even know of this proposal and the last thing we want is even more downtown businesss not surviving as a result of scarce convenient parking.
I cannot be at the Council meeting tonight but would urge that we take more time to look at this and other options as this will absolutely kill and already feeble downtown.
