I am writing this message since I will be coaching 5th grade basketball at Oak Knoll this evening during the meeting.
Our family lives on Cotton Street and have for almost 15 years. We frequent the downtown as a family, as adults and our children ride their bikes there often for tutoring.
This plan for low income housing in Menlo Parks most valuable real estate makes no sense. This concept is moving way too fast without enough feedback from the community. As a 25-year veteran of commercial real estate in the Menlo Park market, I can give a professional opinion that this is not the highest and best use of the real estate and has the potential to negatively alter our already struggling downtown.
Please do not move this action forward, lets collect more information on options and make a more well-informed decision.
